Chris Cocchiaro

Chris Cocchiaro was born in Lowell, and raised in Chemlsford, Massachusetts.   His parents were both descendants of mill workers in Lowell and Lawrence, and his father was a seafood broker in Boston.

Chris has lived in all four corners of the US, first attending college at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, where is graduated with a BA is History.   The Software industry brought him west, for a short time in Sacramento, then 3 years at a start-up in Seattle founded by ex-Microsoft employees.   He then transitioned from engineering to consulting, working on a Software Sales team in Los Angeles, then in the Bay area, as well as traveling to many Fortune 500 companies, for engagements.

Chris always has had a love of food and wine, first attending Culinary school in Seattle while dreaming of a career change.   But, in 2005, while taking a few viticulture classes at Napa Valley College, Chris decided to make the switch.   Chris interned that harvest at Etude Wines, and then stayed on with Fosters to work in the cellar at the historic Stags' Leap Winery.   Chris then moved on to Sonoma-Cutrer, before relocating to the Central Coast and settling into a Grower Relation Position at Wild Horse Winery.

Chris is deeply committed to finding win-win solutions for the company and their clients.   The vast array of grape varieties and high quality wines that are produced, continues to fuel his passion for the wine industry and its promising future.
